The Den

The Den is our new nurture provision that all children can access. It is a safe space where children can develop their emotional and social skills.

 

The Den can also be used as a calming down area when children need a calm and quiet space. 

 

The Den is run by Miss Lenton and includes a life size table and chairs for snack and meals, comfy areas, relaxing music, a book tent, fairy lights and even has a sensory room! 

 

The children will be in small groups of up to six children. They will remain part of their own class group and access The Den at dedicated times throughout the week, depending on their needs. Opportunities are provided to address specific skills needed to become successful learners.

 

We use The Boxall Profile to monitor and set targets.
