Pupil Responsibilities
At Hasting Hill Academy, we believe that giving our children a voice is essential to building a confident, responsible, and caring school community.
Through a democratic voting system held in every classroom, two pupils from each year group from Year 1 through to Year 6 have been chosen by their peers to form our 2026/2027 Pupil Leadership Team.
These dedicated representatives meet weekly, working closely alongside members of staff to take an active role in driving positive change across our school. Their diverse roles include:
- Right Knights: Championing children's rights and helping everyone understand their personal responsibilities.
- Digital Leaders: Supporting staff and peers with computing and promoting safe technology use.
- School Council: Representing pupil opinion to help make important decisions about school life and improvement.
- Bullying Ambassadors: Promoting kindness, inclusivity, and maintaining a safe, friendly environment for all pupils.
In addition to their work within Hasting Hill Academy, our Year 5 and Year 6 representatives attend termly meetings with the wider Trust Leadership Team, collaborating with other schools and bringing valuable ideas and feedback directly back to our school community.
